Norwich, CT — Liberty Bank, in collaboration with Foundry 66, Community Economic Development Corporation and the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce, announced recently that they are partnering to launch a tuition-free Academy for Small Business to assist with the creation and growth of new small businesses.
The Academy for Small Business will offer an eight-class curriculum, covering topics such as financial management, recordkeeping, risk management, marketing and tax planning. The program will begin on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 and run through Thursday, April 13, 2017.

Howard. “As a community bank, Liberty Bank is committed to helping businesses get off the ground, stay healthy and grow.” This program also reinforces the commitment that Liberty Bank made to help boost the economy in the Norwich area.
Entrepreneurs must be in business for between one and three years to attend the program and do not have to be Liberty Bank customers. This opportunity is available on a first come, first serve basis and the class is limited to 20 business owners.
After successfully completing of at least six classes, participating business owners will be eligible for a $5,000 line of credit from Liberty Bank, with a potential matching line of credit from the Community Economic Development Fund (CEDF).
